The Danube Private University (DPU) is a private university with faculties for Medicine and Dentistry situated in Austria. The DPU is characterized by entrepreneurial thinking combined with first-class research and development.
The Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) group was founded by director Robert Wagner in 2022 together with one of the leading scientists of the group, Prof. Dr. Ramona Woitek, PhD.
The group´s aim is to explore applications for MIAAI in all areas of medicine in collaboration with the group's affiliated clinical scientists, and then to develop advanced methods tailored to each specialty.

Danube Private University (DPU) in Krems-Stein an der Donau, Lower Austria, is embedded in the Wachau UNESCO World Heritage Site, 60 km from the gates of Vienna and in one of the most attractive regions in Austria.
DPU was the first private university in Austria to receive accreditation for a department of medicine/dentistry. The university can now look back on a great success story in teaching and it’s also established itself internationally in research.
