Ms. Cansu Yalçın, a student of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Medical Imaging and Applications (MAIA) at the University of Girona, has successfully completed a three-month summer internship (August-September 2022) under the supervision of Ass.-Prof. Dr. Sepideh Hatamikia and close collaboration with Dr. Geevarghese George at the Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) Research Center at Danube Private University (DPU). The MAIA is coordinated by the University of Girona (UdG, Spain) and has the University of Bourgogne (UB, France) and the Università degli studi di Cassino e del Lazio Meridionale (UNICLAM, Italy) as partners. Master's students in this program have the opportunity to study in dept in the field of medical image analysis and spend each semester in one of the program's partner countries. During her internship at MIAAI Research Center at DPU, Ms. Cansu Yalçın worked on developing deep-learning algorithms to predict clinical outcomes of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer patients using MRI images.
