Dr. Palak Handa, Scientist of the Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) Research Group has been awarded the 'Commendable Research Award' and 'Commendable Patent Award' along with cash prizes worth €1000 for her research work in the year 2023 by Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Delhi, India. The research works are related to artificial intelligence in automatic epilepsy diagnosis, seizure detection, and colonoscopy polyp detection. Her parents received the awards on her behalf. Dr. Palak Handa, Scientist of the Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) Research Group has contributed to the publication titled 'Software advancements in automatic epilepsy diagnosis and seizure detection: 10-year review' in the Artificial Intelligence Review (impact factor: 10.7). The paper summarizes and compares more than 300 peer-reviewed articles, existing datasets, and patents for automatic epilepsy diagnosis and seizure detection in the past decade.
